Terms of Service for Mobile App
Effective Date: 05-08-2026
1. Introduction
Section titled “1. Introduction”Welcome to Bookora (“we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Service govern your use of our mobile application and services on both iOS (Apple App Store) and Android (Google Play Store) platforms. By accessing or using our app, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our app.
2. Use of the App
Section titled “2. Use of the App”You must be at least 16 years old to use the app. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the app complies with all applicable laws and regulations. You may not use the app to engage in unlawful, abusive, or harmful activities, nor may you share your license or access credentials with others. You may not modify, distribute, copy, reverse engineer, or decompile the app.
3. Intellectual Property
Section titled “3. Intellectual Property”The app and all intellectual property rights, including software, logos, and trademarks, are owned by Bookora. Your use of the app does not grant you ownership rights to any aspect of the app or its content.
4. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
Section titled “4. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions”All in-app purchases and subscriptions are processed through Apple’s App Store (for iOS users) or Google Play Store (for Android users). You agree to pay all fees associated with your purchases.
The price, billing period, trial (if any), renewal price, plan size, and other purchase terms are displayed before you confirm through the applicable store. A recurring subscription or free trial automatically renews for the period shown unless you cancel through Apple or Google before the renewal date. Uninstalling Bookora does not cancel a subscription. The store controls renewal, cancellation, billing, price-change notices, and trial eligibility.
4.1 Subscription Expiration and Feature Availability
Section titled “4.1 Subscription Expiration and Feature Availability”Some features of the app are available only while you hold an active subscription. If your subscription lapses or is not renewed, these features may be automatically disabled or restricted until you resume a subscription, including without limitation:
- automatic notifications and reminders to your clients (push, email, SMS, WhatsApp, Telegram, and other messaging channels);
- two-way Google Calendar synchronisation; and
- the public online booking link and associated booking intake.
Your underlying data — clients, services, events, and history — remains available in the app, and feature access is restored when your subscription becomes active again. Bookora may change which features are subscription-gated at any time; any such change will be reflected in the app and, where material, in an updated version of these Terms.
4.2 Team Plans and Seats
Section titled “4.2 Team Plans and Seats”A team plan belongs to and is managed by the team owner. The plan size includes the owner’s seat. Both active members and pending invitations use seats. Without an active subscription an account has a single seat for itself and cannot add or invite members. The owner may not select a plan below the number of seats shown as in use. Available plan sizes, prices, billing periods, and offers may differ by store, platform, and region.
If the plan is downgraded below the number of seats in use, Bookora may free the excess seats. Because both active members and pending invitations occupy seats, Bookora may cancel pending invitations first, and then, if further seats are still needed, remove the most recently added members while keeping longer-standing members up to the plan limit. A canceled invitation can no longer be accepted. Removal from the team does not delete the member’s separate account or its data: the member keeps their own account and continues to use the app, the owner loses access to that account, and only the Premium features provided through the team plan stop working. A later increase in plan size does not automatically restore a removed member or a canceled invitation; the owner must invite that person again. Bookora may enforce the purchased limit or require the owner to purchase sufficient seats.
If the owner’s subscription expires, the team relationship and the owner’s access to member accounts continue, but Premium features — including online booking, automatic notifications, and Google Calendar synchronisation — may be disabled for the owner and every member until a subscription is active again.
A member’s separate App Store or Google Play subscription is not canceled by joining a team and may continue to renew. The member remains responsible for managing that separate purchase through the store account that made it.
5. Refunds
Section titled “5. Refunds”We do not handle refunds directly for purchases made through Apple’s App Store or Google Play Store. Refunds and other transaction-related issues are subject to the respective platform’s refund policies and must be handled according to their procedures.
5.1 iOS (Apple App Store) Refunds
Section titled “5.1 iOS (Apple App Store) Refunds”To request a refund for an in-app purchase or subscription made on iOS, you must contact Apple’s App Store customer support. Their refund policies and timelines will apply, and any decisions regarding refunds will be made at their discretion.
5.2 Android (Google Play) Refunds
Section titled “5.2 Android (Google Play) Refunds”To request a refund for an in-app purchase or subscription made on Android, you must contact Google Play customer support. Google Play’s refund policies and timelines will apply, and any decisions regarding refunds will be made at their discretion.
Refund eligibility is determined by the respective platform’s policy. Refunds may be available for purchases made in error, technical issues, or other circumstances deemed valid by Apple’s App Store or Google Play Store.
6. Team Accounts
Section titled “6. Team Accounts”These terms apply whenever an account is created for, invited to, or used as part of a team.
6.1 Owner Authority and Responsibilities
Section titled “6.1 Owner Authority and Responsibilities”The team owner may create accounts, invite existing users with a one-time invitation code, administer active member workspaces, manage team-controlled settings, remove members, cancel pending invitations, and manage the team subscription. This access includes viewing and changing schedules, clients, services, profile information, and all other content in an active member’s workspace. A member cannot be suspended or paused; a member either belongs to the team or is removed from it.
The owner represents and warrants that the owner:
- has authority to create or administer accounts for each member and to submit an invitation code that a person provided to the owner;
- has informed each member about these Terms and the Privacy Policy, including owner access and public team-profile information;
- has all lawful permissions and notices required to access member information, manage Client Data, send communications, and display member profile information;
- will use owner access only for legitimate business purposes and will not impersonate a member for an unlawful, deceptive, personal, or unauthorized purpose; and
- will securely deliver credentials for an owner-created account and require the member to change the initial password promptly.
The owner is responsible for actions taken through the owner’s team access and for the acts of authorised team users to the extent permitted by law.
6.2 Invitation Codes
Section titled “6.2 Invitation Codes”An existing Bookora user is invited using a one-time invitation code that the person who wants to join generates in their own account and provides to the owner. The code is short-lived and may be used only once. Issuing a new code invalidates the previous one.
An invitation code allows an owner to send an invitation only. It does not add the person to a team, does not grant the owner access to that person’s account, and does not authorise any processing of that person’s data before the invitation is accepted. Users are responsible for sharing a code only with a person they intend to grant team access to, and Bookora is not responsible for a code that a user discloses to someone else.
Bookora may limit who can generate a code, how long it remains valid, and how many invitations may be outstanding.
6.3 Member Agreement and Access
Section titled “6.3 Member Agreement and Access”By accepting a team invitation, or by using an account created for the member by an owner, the member authorizes the owner access and controls described above while the membership continues. Acceptance requires an explicit confirmation of the owner-access notice shown in the app.
A member keeps a separate Bookora account, but online-booking settings, automatic-notification settings, and notification templates are managed by the owner. The owner’s values are applied when the member joins and again whenever the owner changes them, replacing any values the member set previously, and the member may not be able to change these settings. Personal information — including the member’s own booking link, calendar, clients, and services — is not copied between accounts. Confirmed team members may see one another’s roster details; a person with a pending invitation is shown to the owner with limited details until the invitation is accepted.
A member can ask the owner to remove the account from the team or contact support@bookora.me. Removal ends the team relationship but does not delete the member’s separate account, profile photo, or underlying account data.
6.4 Public Team Profiles
Section titled “6.4 Public Team Profiles”Selected profile and business information for an active member may appear on the owner’s public team booking page. Private calendars, client records, messages, credentials, and internal business records are not displayed there. The owner warrants that the owner has informed the member and has the necessary rights to publish the information shown. Members must not upload or authorise publication of information they are not permitted to share.
6.5 Removal, Loss of Premium, and Google Calendar
Section titled “6.5 Removal, Loss of Premium, and Google Calendar”When a member is removed from the team, is no longer covered by the plan, or loses team Premium access, Bookora may turn off online booking and automatic notifications and disconnect the member’s Google Calendar. Imported calendar information is removed from Bookora, and Bookora attempts to remove events it created in Google. Rejoining a team or renewing a subscription does not automatically restore the integration; the member must connect it again.
Removal also ends any owner session opened into that member’s account. The member’s own credentials and sessions are not affected and continue to work for their separate account.
7. User-Generated Content
Section titled “7. User-Generated Content”You are responsible for all content you create, upload, publish, or transmit through the app, including profile photos, events, client information, and messages. You must not use content that is unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, obscene, defamatory, infringing, invasive of privacy, or otherwise contrary to these Terms and Notifications Restrictions.
You retain ownership of your content. You grant Bookora a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process and display it only as needed to provide the Bookora features you use. For a profile photo, this may include public display on personal and team booking pages. The licence ends when the content is deleted from our active service, except for copies required for backups or legal compliance and copies independently saved or cached by third parties.
You represent and warrant that you own the content or have all permissions needed to upload and publish it, including permission from any identifiable person shown. You may not upload another person’s image without authorization, exploit a minor’s image, or infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights. We may remove content or restrict access when we reasonably believe it violates these Terms, law, or another person’s rights.
8. User Responsibilities for Client Data
Section titled “8. User Responsibilities for Client Data”If you choose to store personal information of your clients or other individuals (“Client Data”) in our app, you are responsible for obtaining all necessary consents and informing these individuals about data storage in Bookora. You must comply with all applicable data protection and privacy laws and implement appropriate measures to protect this data. Bookora acts as a data processor for Client Data, and we will only process this data as necessary to provide our services. Our handling of Client Data is subject to our Privacy Policy, which you should review to ensure your use of Client Data aligns with it. By using our app to store Client Data, you agree to indemnify Bookora against any claims arising from your storage and use of such data.
9. Online Booking Feature and Restricted Content
Section titled “9. Online Booking Feature and Restricted Content”The app provides an optional online booking feature, which allows you to publish selected profile, business, service, location, and availability information through a booking link. By enabling this feature, you agree that the information shown is accurate and lawful. A team owner’s page may also display active members and link visitors to each member’s booking page. Private calendars, client records, messages, credentials, and internal business records are not displayed there. Public page content may be viewed, copied, indexed, shared, or cached. The owner controls the team’s online-booking setting; an individual team member may not be able to change it.
You are strictly prohibited from using the online booking feature or any other functionality of the app to create, share, or promote the following types of content:
- Illegal products or services, including but not limited to controlled substances, drugs, weapons, and counterfeit items.
- Sexually explicit, obscene, or pornographic content, including solicitation of prostitution or other sexual services.
- Content that incites violence, hatred, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected status.
- Fraudulent schemes, phishing attempts, or deceptive practices designed to mislead users.
- Copyright-infringing materials, including unauthorized use of trademarks, logos, or other intellectual property.
- Malicious software, viruses, or other content designed to harm or exploit users or their devices.
- Harassment, defamation, or any content that infringes on the privacy or rights of others.
- Any other content that violates applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations.
We reserve the right to review, remove, or restrict access to any content that violates these terms, at our sole discretion. Repeated violations may result in suspension or termination of your account and access to the app.
By using the online booking feature, you acknowledge that you are responsible for ensuring that your use of the app and the content you share comply with all applicable laws and these Terms of Service. Bookora disclaims any liability for the content shared through your personal booking link.
10. Third-Party Integrations
Section titled “10. Third-Party Integrations”The app offers optional third-party integrations, such as Google Calendar. By connecting an integration, you authorise Bookora to use the access shown on that service’s consent screen. You can disconnect it, and team membership or subscription changes may also cause it to be disconnected. Bookora will stop future sync, remove the saved connection and imported calendar information, and attempt to remove events Bookora created in Google. Events that originated in Google remain there. Your use of an integration is also subject to the third party’s terms and privacy policy. See our Privacy Policy for more information.
11. Account Responsibilities
Section titled “11. Account Responsibilities”You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for activity under your account or authorized team access. An owner session on a device may access every active team account. Owners must protect that device with reasonable security, must not share it with unauthorized persons, and must sign out when access is no longer needed. You agree to notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access or use.
12. Data Privacy and Security
Section titled “12. Data Privacy and Security”Your use of the app is subject to our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, store, and handle your personal information. By using the app, you agree to our handling of your data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
13. Termination
Section titled “13. Termination”We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, create security or legal risk, fail to pay applicable fees, or misuse Bookora. Where appropriate, we may first give notice and an opportunity to cure. Account suspension is different from removal from a team and does not necessarily delete data. Account deletion is handled under the Privacy Policy, including its grace period, retention exceptions, and team-account consequences. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including payment duties, licenses already required to operate the service, disclaimers, limitations, and dispute terms, continue to apply.
14. Limitation of Liability
Section titled “14. Limitation of Liability”To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bookora is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from use of or inability to use the app. Bookora is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties except those that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability, warranties, remedies, or consumer rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit.
15. Governing Law
Section titled “15. Governing Law”These Terms and disputes relating to them are governed by the law that applies to your agreement with the Bookora service provider, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you use Bookora as a consumer, nothing in these Terms deprives you of mandatory protections or access to courts that the law of your habitual residence gives you. The parties will first attempt in good faith to resolve a dispute through the contact details below.
16. Export Control and Platform Compliance
Section titled “16. Export Control and Platform Compliance”You agree to comply with all applicable export control laws when using the app. You may not use or otherwise export or re-export the app except as authorized by United States law and the laws of the jurisdiction in which the app was obtained.
Additionally, you agree to comply with all applicable terms and conditions of both Apple’s App Store and Google Play Store when using our app on the respective platforms. This includes any platform-specific guidelines, developer policies, and user agreements that may apply to your use of our app.
17. Force Majeure
Section titled “17. Force Majeure”Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performance under these Terms (other than for delay in the payment of money due and payable hereunder) for causes beyond that party’s reasonable control and occurring without that party’s fault or negligence.
18. Severability
Section titled “18. Severability”If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect and enforceable.
19. Assignment
Section titled “19. Assignment”You may not assign, sublicense, or otherwise transfer any of your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent.
20. Changes to the Terms
Section titled “20. Changes to the Terms”We may update these Terms as Bookora or legal requirements change. We will post the revised Terms and effective date. We will give at least 14 days’ in-app or email notice before a material change takes effect, unless a shorter period is reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or a feature that must be withdrawn promptly. Clarifications, formatting, and other non-material changes may take effect on publication. Changes apply prospectively. If you do not agree, you must stop using Bookora and cancel any future subscription renewal; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
21. Entire Agreement
Section titled “21. Entire Agreement”These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Bookora with respect to the app, superseding any prior agreements between you and Bookora.
22. Contact Us
Section titled “22. Contact Us”If you have any questions regarding these Terms of Service, please contact us at:
