Working Hours
Working Hours tell Bookora when you’re available on each date. They control which hours show as working (clear background) on your calendar timeline, and which hours clients see as bookable on your online booking page.
How to get there
Section titled “How to get there”Calendar tab > tap the edit icon in the calendar header. The footer turns into an editable schedule summary with Start, End, and a Day off toggle.
What you can do
Section titled “What you can do”- Set a start and end time for each date you work.
- Set the same hours across multiple dates in one go.
- Apply hours to every Monday, Tuesday, etc. in the visible month with a single tap.
- Mark dates as days off.
Set working hours for a date
Section titled “Set working hours for a date”- Open the
Calendartab and tap the edit icon in the header. The month grid enters selection mode. - Tap individual dates to select them. Or tap a weekday header (
Mon,Tue, etc.) to select every instance of that weekday in the visible month. - Tap
Startin the footer. An inline time-picker wheel appears. Scroll to your start time and confirm. To type the time instead, tapStarta second time to open a keyboard input dialog. - Repeat for
End. - Tap the confirm icon to save. A toast confirms the change. To discard your edits, tap the cancel icon instead.
Mark a day off
Section titled “Mark a day off”- Enter selection mode and pick the dates you want off (as above).
- Toggle
Day offON in the footer. The time fields become disabled. - Tap the confirm icon to save.
Limits and things to know
Section titled “Limits and things to know”- One working block per day. If you take a midday break, add it as a
Breakevent on the calendar rather than splitting your hours. - Working hours are same-day only — the end time must be later than the start time on the same date. To schedule an overnight shift (for example, 21:00 to 03:00), split it across two days: set
21:00to23:59on day 1 and00:00to03:00on day 2 as two separate working blocks. - Time precision is 1 minute on both start and end.
- The time format follows your regional setting (12-hour or 24-hour). Change it in
Settings > Regional Preferences > Time Format. - You can only edit dates that are visible in the month grid. Scroll the month to a different period first.
- There’s no dedicated working-hours page in Settings — all editing happens from the Calendar footer.
Common issues
Section titled “Common issues”- The confirm icon to save doesn’t appear. You’re not in selection mode. Tap the edit icon in the calendar header first.
- The time fields are disabled. Either
Day offis ON, or a previous save is still in progress (a progress bar runs across the bottom of the footer). Wait for it to finish. - I can’t pick an end time earlier than the start time. Working hours can’t cross midnight, so the end must be later than the start on the same date. For overnight shifts, split the schedule across two days (see the limits note above).
- Saving fails with
Failed to update working hours. Check your internet connection and tap the confirm icon again. If it keeps failing, contact support. - The online booking page still shows my old hours. Wait a few seconds after saving and refresh — the public page picks up changes shortly after.
- A specific date has no slots even though I should be working. That date may have no working hours set at all. Re-add the hours.
- Slots appear shifted by several hours. Your device timezone may be off. Check your phone’s date and time settings — automatic date/time is recommended.
