Consumables

Consumables let you track supplies you use during services (hair dye, oils, creams, single-use tools). You set the unit and stock, link each consumable to the services that use it, and decide how much is consumed per service. After appointments are complete, Bookora suggests how much to deduct — you adjust and confirm.

Home tab > Consumables tile.

  • Track stock by amount and unit (ml, g, pcs).
  • Link a consumable to the services that use it and define a per-service consumption rate.
  • See a low-stock badge when stock drops to or below your threshold.
  • Track spending by entering a package price and package amount.
  • Deplete stock automatically based on completed appointments, with manual adjustments before you confirm.
  • Search the list by name.
  1. Tap Add Consumable.
  2. Fill in:
    • Name — required; keep it short so it fits in the list.
    • Current stock — the amount you have on hand right now.
    • Unitml, g, or pcs.
  3. Optional:
    • Threshold — when stock drops to or below this number, a Low badge appears.
    • Package price and Package amount — used to calculate the per-unit cost so spending can be tracked.
  4. In the Associated Services section, link the services that use this consumable. For each one, enter how much is consumed per appointment (for example, 10 ml per haircut).
  5. Tap Create.
  1. From the Consumables home tile, tap Calculate.
  2. The Remaining Consumables screen lists each linked consumable. Each row has a slider preset to the auto-calculated consumption for the period.
  3. Adjust the sliders if you used more or less than expected. The reset icon reverts to the suggested value.
  4. Tap Confirm All. Stock is decremented and spending is recorded.

Open the consumable and update the Current stock field.

  • Three unit types are available: ml, g, pcs.
  • You can’t change the unit after creating a consumable.
  • Quantities are tracked in whole units.
  • Confirmed consumption can’t be retroactively adjusted.
  • There’s no CSV or PDF export of inventory.
  • You can’t archive a consumable — deletion is permanent.
  • Consumable spending appears in Statistics as a total expenses figure. There’s no per-item history view inside Consumables itself.
  • Stock is only decremented from appointments — tasks and breaks don’t consume anything.
  • Auto-suggested consumption is based on appointments where the service is linked to the consumable and the appointment is past and not deleted.
  • Please enter a valid amount / Amount must be greater than 0. Use positive integers.
  • No consumable usages found on the Remaining screen. No appointments in the period are linked to consumables, or no appointments have been completed yet. Add associations on the consumable, or wait until you have completed appointments.
  • A consumable shows Low but I just restocked. Reopen the consumable and update Current stock.
  • Calculate doesn’t suggest a value. The linked service either has no per-service consumption set, or you haven’t completed any appointments using that service yet.
  • Cost looks too low. Check the package price and package amount on the consumable. If package amount is zero, the cost calculation falls back to zero — fix the package size.
  • Failed to delete consumable. Try again later. If it keeps failing, contact support.
