Common problems and fixes
Section titled “Common problems and fixes””I logged in and my data looks empty or stale”
Section titled “”I logged in and my data looks empty or stale””Pull to refresh on the affected tab. If that doesn’t help, force-close and reopen the app — this clears in-memory state and refetches everything. As a last resort, sign out (Settings > Account) and back in.
”Please sign in again” or random logouts
Section titled “”Please sign in again” or random logouts”Your session expired. Sign in again. If it keeps happening within minutes, your phone clock may be off — turn on automatic date and time in your phone’s settings.
”My clients see no slots available on my booking page”
Section titled “”My clients see no slots available on my booking page””Walk through this checklist:
Settings > Online Booking > Enable Online Bookingis ON.- You have working hours set for upcoming days (
Calendarfooter). - At least one service has
Allow online bookingON. - At least one address has
Allow booking at this addressON. - Advance notice isn’t so high that it excludes every visible day.
- The booking window isn’t set to today only.
”A booking came in but no notification was sent”
Section titled “”A booking came in but no notification was sent””Open the appointment and check that the Notifications section was visible and Notify client about updates was on when the booking was created. Check the client’s notifications toggle in Clients. Then open Notifications and look at the History tab to see the actual delivery status.
”The premium badge is stuck on Free after I paid”
Section titled “”The premium badge is stuck on Free after I paid””There’s a known short delay after a purchase. Pull to refresh the Home screen. If it’s still wrong after a minute, open the subscription page and tap Restore Purchases. If still wrong, sign out and back in. See Subscription.
”I’m on premium but online booking still asks me to subscribe”
Section titled “”I’m on premium but online booking still asks me to subscribe””Tap Restore Purchases on the subscription paywall. If that doesn’t help, confirm you’re signed into the device store account that made the purchase.
”I never get push notifications on this device”
Section titled “”I never get push notifications on this device””- iOS:
Settings > Notifications > Bookora > Allow NotificationsON. - Android:
Settings > Apps > Bookora > Notifications— enable all categories. - Also confirm Do-Not-Disturb / Focus mode is off.
”The unread badge count looks wrong”
Section titled “”The unread badge count looks wrong””Open the relevant tab (Notifications, Chat, etc.). Viewing it resets the count.
”A Google event shows on my calendar but I can’t delete it”
Section titled “”A Google event shows on my calendar but I can’t delete it””Google-origin events are read-only in Bookora. Delete them in Google Calendar — they’ll disappear from Bookora on the next sync. See Google Calendar Sync.
”My Bookora appointments aren’t appearing in Google Calendar”
Section titled “”My Bookora appointments aren’t appearing in Google Calendar””Open Settings > Google Calendar and check that What gets exported includes Appointments. Tap Sync now to force a sync.
”I added or edited an event in Google Calendar but it’s not in Bookora yet”
Section titled “”I added or edited an event in Google Calendar but it’s not in Bookora yet””Expected for a few minutes. Bookora pushes your own changes to Google instantly, but pulls Google’s changes back on a short schedule rather than in real time. To grab the latest right now, open Settings > Google Calendar and tap Sync now. See Google Calendar Sync.
”I changed the color in Google Calendar settings but my Bookora appointments still look the same in Google”
Section titled “”I changed the color in Google Calendar settings but my Bookora appointments still look the same in Google””That’s by design — the Color setting only applies to events that came from Google into Bookora. Appointments, tasks, and breaks you create in Bookora keep their own colors and aren’t repainted by the integration setting. See Google Calendar Sync.
”I want to cancel a pending notification but there’s no button on the History page”
Section titled “”I want to cancel a pending notification but there’s no button on the History page””The History page is a log, not a queue editor. To stop a pending notification, do one of the following: open the related appointment and turn off its notifications, disable notifications on the client’s profile, or delete the appointment. See Notifications.
”I can’t attach a screenshot or file in the support chat”
Section titled “”I can’t attach a screenshot or file in the support chat””The in-app chat is text-only. Send screenshots, screen recordings, or any other files to support@bookora.me, mention you’re following up from the in-app chat, and keep the chat open for back-and-forth. See Support Chat.
”My renewal payment failed — did I just lose premium?”
Section titled “”My renewal payment failed — did I just lose premium?””Not immediately. Apple and Google both apply a short grace period during which they keep retrying the charge and your premium features stay active. Open Settings > Subscriptions > Bookora on iOS, or Google Play > Payments and subscriptions > Subscriptions > Bookora on Android, and update your payment method. If the grace period ends without a successful charge, premium switches off and you can resubscribe at any time. See Subscription.
”I deleted an activity entry by accident”
Section titled “”I deleted an activity entry by accident””Activity entries are deleted permanently when you swipe them away — pull-to-refresh won’t bring them back. The underlying appointments or clients are unaffected; only the feed entry is gone. See Activity Log.
”A client booked a slot outside my working hours”
Section titled “”A client booked a slot outside my working hours””Either your working hours weren’t set for that date, or you changed working hours after the booking was made. Edit the appointment or contact the client.
”Time utilization is over 100%”
Section titled “”Time utilization is over 100%””Time utilization compares booked hours against your set working hours. If you book appointments outside your working hours, those hours count as overtime and the figure can go above 100%. The fix is to update your working hours in the calendar to match when you actually take bookings — once your schedule reflects reality, utilization settles back into a sensible range. See Working Hours and Statistics.
”Why do slot intervals look uneven?”
Section titled “”Why do slot intervals look uneven?””When Time slot interval is set to Use service duration, each service’s own duration drives the grid, so services of different lengths create uneven gaps. Switch to a fixed interval (for example, 30 minutes) in Booking Settings for a uniform grid.
”Some text in another language seems untranslated”
Section titled “”Some text in another language seems untranslated””Rare, but possible if a string is brand new. Report it via Support Chat with a screenshot.
