Account Deletion

You can request account deletion at any time from the Bookora app. Deletion is final after a 7-day grace period — until then, you can sign back in to cancel.

Before deleting your account, cancel your subscription. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription or process a refund.

  • iOS: Open your phone’s Settings > tap your name > Subscriptions > Bookora > Cancel Subscription. See Apple’s instructions for details.
  • Android: Open the Google Play app > tap your profile > Payments and subscriptions > Subscriptions > Bookora > Cancel subscription.

If you’d like a refund for a recent purchase, request one from your device’s store. See Apple’s refund instructions or your Google Play order history.

Once your subscription is canceled (or you’ve confirmed there isn’t one), you can proceed with account deletion.

The store subscription is the only thing you have to handle yourself. You don’t need to delete your profile photo, disconnect Google Calendar, or unwind your team first — Bookora does all of that automatically when the deletion runs. See After the grace period.

  1. Open the Bookora app and go to the Settings tab.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the screen to find Delete Account.
  3. Tap Delete Account.
  4. A first confirmation explains the 7-day grace period and what will be deleted. Tap Yes to proceed, or No to cancel.
  5. A second confirmation asks you to type the phrase shown on screen (Delete my account) into the input field. The confirmation button becomes active once your text matches.
  6. Tap Delete my account.

Your account is immediately logged out and enters a 7-day grace period. Subscriptions don’t auto-cancel — make sure you’ve handled that separately.

What happens during the 7-day grace period

Section titled “What happens during the 7-day grace period”
  • Your account stays in our system but is marked for deletion.
  • You can sign back in at any time during these 7 days to cancel the deletion.
  • If you don’t cancel within 7 days, permanent deletion begins automatically.

If you change your mind during the 7-day grace period:

  1. Sign back in to your Bookora account.
  2. You’ll see a deletion notification screen automatically.
  3. Tap Cancel Deletion.
  4. Your account returns to normal immediately.

When the 7 days pass, Bookora begins removing from its active systems:

  • Your personal profile information, including your profile photo.
  • User-generated content covered by the active deletion process, including clients, appointments, services, addresses, and notifications.
  • Your preferences and settings.
  • Other account information covered by the deletion process.

Bookora also runs this cleanup for you at the same moment — you don’t have to do any of it in advance:

  • Your profile photo is deleted, including from your public booking page.
  • Google Calendar is disconnected. Bookora stops syncing, deletes the saved connection, removes the events it imported from Google, attempts to remove the events it created in your Google Calendar, and revokes the access you granted. Events that originated in Google stay in Google.
  • If you own a team, the team is removed. Every member simply becomes an independent Bookora user again. They keep their own account, calendar, clients, services, and booking link, and nobody has team access to them afterward. They may not receive a separate notice about your deletion, so tell them yourself if it matters to them.
  • If you are a team member, you are removed from your owner’s team and the seat you were using is freed for them.

Limited records may remain in backups, security or legal records, third-party systems, or de-identified form for the periods described in the Privacy Policy. Public information that other people, search engines, browsers, or social networks previously saved or cached cannot be retrieved by Bookora.

Bookora disconnects optional integrations, such as Google Calendar, as part of the deletion. Service providers may still retain limited information under their own deletion schedules or legal obligations, and Bookora cannot remove data that a third party keeps independently.

Some information may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy:

  • Non-personal, aggregated data for analytical purposes.
  • Information required by law.
  • Information needed for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention.
  • Deletion cannot be canceled after the 7-day grace period. Bookora may be unable to recover information as removal progresses.
  • Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription or refund recent charges. Use your device’s store to handle both.
  • You can’t delete the account temporarily — there’s no “pause” mode.
  • Removing someone from a team does not delete their account. Account deletion must be requested from that account.
  • Leaving a team without deleting your account is a different thing: ask the owner to remove you, or contact support. See Team Invitations.
  • Nothing above happens while the deletion is pending. Your photo, Google Calendar connection, and team stay as they are during the 7 days, and canceling the deletion leaves them untouched.
  • Failed to request account deletion. Check your internet connection and tap Delete my account again. If it keeps failing, contact support via the in-app chat. See Support Chat.
  • The confirmation button stays disabled. Type the phrase shown above the field exactly as it appears (Delete my account).
  • I want to delete the account but keep some data. That’s not supported — deletion is all-or-nothing. Export what you need by hand first (for example, by reviewing clients or appointments in the app).
  • My subscription auto-renewed after I deleted the account. Deleting Bookora doesn’t cancel the store subscription. Cancel it directly in Apple’s or Google’s store settings.
